Ammar Barakat

My name is Ammar Barakat, and after being blessed and able to live and travel to many countries in the world. I have found myself in Riyadh after a very long stint in The Netherlands. I am here with my wife who is a citizen of the Kingdom and I am trying to find a job here that I am passionate about. and there is nothing I am more passionate about more than providing guests with good food and a great experience.

After 13 years of working in the hospitality industry, the opportunity came and I was able to start my own restaurant. I started with a tiny location with only 15 seats inside, but after three and a half years I was able to move to the location next door which could seat 45. With only a team of three staff members we managed to make it to the number 16 spot on trip advisor out of 1,350 restaurants in the city of The Hague by 2020. The restaurant honored the traditional dishes of both Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, but also featured experimental dishes.

In the summer of 2021 I made the difficult decision to sell my restaurant and move with my wife so she could pursue her dream job in her home country. After the many shut downs we were faced with, and the many regulations that were put in place in The Netherlands, I chose to take a risk and start and adventure in a foreign country. I look forward to making Saudi Arabia my home, and I hope to share my knowledge and my passion with it’s people. I hope to hear back from you soon, and to be able to meet you in person.
