I am a vibrant and passion driven overseas Registered Nurse (Nigeria and Saudi Arabia) who is caring, compassionate, supportive, enthusiastic, resourceful and of good self-presentation. I have a Master degree in Reproductive and Family Health Nursing, a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing Education, Bachelor Degree in Nursing Science and a Registered Nurse and Midwife in my home country, Nigeria. I am also a Specialist Nurse in Saudi Arabia. I also have good command in written, listening, reading and spoken English as the English Language is the language of communication in my work environment in Saudi Arabia. I recently passed the Occupational English Test (OET) with B grades in all sub tests, with a score of 350 writing, 360 speaking, 390 reading, and 360 listening. I have also passed my CBT examination and I have processed my registration up to the stage of OSCE, this is the only exam left for to gain full registration with the NMC UK. If employed, I would be coming to the UK on a dependent visa as my partner leaves and works in the UK; therefore, I would not need a certificate of sponsorship. I am also well informed of the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority Standard and willing to undergo any necessary training

I have 10 proven years of practice and experience in healthcare delivery of which the last 2 two years was in long-term care and acute care in Family Care Hospital, a specialist hospital of over 300 beds located  in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. My exposure in these areas has given me a significant wealth of knowledge in the assessment and evaluation of patients with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, autism, learning disability, head injury with paraplegia and quadriplegia, end of life care.

I have also worked in various wards while in Nigeria such as, reproductive health clinics dealing with male and female clients with reproductive health challenges;  sexually transmitted infections inclining HIV and AIDs, contraceptive administration and education, post abortion care, primary and secondary infertility and other gynecological cases. I have taken more than 95 deliveries and also been involved in more than 30 CS deliveries.  I am much more interested in developing my skills and knowledge in reproductive and sexual health with special interest in fertility nursing care. Addition, I am willing to undergo any training that will help me deliver high quality patient centered care. I am passionately interested in working in an environment that prioritizes the care of patients, provides holistic patient care and promotes the professional development of her staff. I fully understand the significance of confidentiality in health services and this I preserve with utmost care. I also appreciate the importance of being caring, honest, respectful and empathetic to patients and their relatives. Equity is an essential value I pose as this enables me to treat all patients with fairness and equal opportunity. I also understand that an efficient and safe working environment for clients and other staff members are essential to ensure positive client experiences and reduce risk among staff. Environment safety also involves maintaining high standards of infection control procedures according to hospital policies as this is a key aspect of patient and staff safety.

Furthermore, I am a compassionate, respectful nurse and willing to learn new ideas that will enable me to improve and achieve excellence in my practice. With my education level, I can work independently with minimal assistance as the case may be. I can be very good at putting a smile on my patient's faces either individually and in a group. I could also be involved in health research of which I have publications in national and international journals, and I also recognized the significance of quality documentation in improving patient care. I am able to independently carry out the following procedures effectively such as wound dressing, I.V cannulation, some specimens collection, infusion setup and administration, medication preparation, administration, and monitoring (IV, Oral, IM, SUB, Intradermal, topical and pessaries). I can also observe and take vital signs, blood transfusion monitoring, calibration of glucometer, urethra catheterization, NG tube insertion, complete nursing physical assessment, use of twelve lead ECG, taking and interpretation of ABG, AVG, pre and post-operative care, use of infusion and syringe pump and total parenteral infusion pump, patient education, colostomy and tracheostomy care, peg tube feeding, care and management.

 I am equipped with the ability to identify my own learning needs, I have the skills to assess, plan, deliver, prioritize and evaluate patient care, I also possess the knowledge of current issues related to the NHS. I also have the ability to prioritize my own workload and recognize priorities and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations. I also possess the ability to support others and students in their training. My critical thinking ability is of great value to me. My ability to use the nursing process to plan and implement my nursing care effectively also stands me out among others. My ability to use modern technologies (in patient care, research, education and documentation) in patient care is also of great advantage to me.  My administrative prowess can enable me to carry out administrative roles with minimal assistance from higher authorities. I also possess good knowledge of infection control standards and promote this in the workplace. An empathetic nurse is of great value to patients, my empathetic nature and ability to initiate a healthy working therapeutic relationship with my patient can aid in identification of patient needs and helping the patient to achieve set objectives also makes me stand out among my colleagues. I have also worked in a variety of secondary, tertiary health institutions. My team work ability is another advantage I possess. Even with emergency situations, my activities towards patients are well organized. I also have the good health that would enable me to carry out my responsibilities without any health limitations. My punctual nature to work, honesty, and hardworking attitude are of great values to my employer and to the patients. In addition, my primary aim is to enhance health consumer’s satisfaction using my unique interpersonal communication, critical thinking skills to meet the individualized and group needs of the patient/clients during their clinic visit thus; helping health institutions achieve their aims and objectives.
