Fatimah Abutaki

This is Fatimah Abutaki, I have majored in Mathematics - Applied Emphasis and looking for a position related to Mathematics, Business administration, Financial analysis, teaching, customer service or relations or any position that would make me useful.
While studying Calculus and Linear Algebra, I applied equations in MATLAB programing
language and since then, I got curious about the use of mathematics in the real world which lead me to study Business administration as a minor. While studying, I have gained knowledge about various subjects related to mathematics such as economics, financial analysis, accounting, and human resource.
During my last year at the University of Arizona, I participated in research that was constructed to assess the prevalence of Covid-19 and its early spread rate. My team and I analyzed a model provided for China and applied it to cumulative cases in both the UK and Brazil. After applying the model and changing parameters, we were able to predict the virus spreading cases.

I would like to mention that I have great communication skills and excellent English in both writing and speaking. 

During my college journey, I have worked as a vice president for the Saudi club at University of Arizona, Tucson. I was responsible for organizing events for Saudi students such as National day, Eid, International festival. I was also the leader of WeCare, a volunteering team that we created in order to encourage Saudis to gain more experience by being involved in the United States community.

I have mentioned it in the first page, it was my journey with my major and minor and how they are somehow connected.
