Study & Design Model Farms in 9 States from Aug 2022 till May 2023.
The project of preparing a "study for the development of model farms" is among the initiatives of the Public Authority for Irrigation to reduce water consumption for agricultural purposes, improve irrigation efficiency and maintain the sustainability of agricultural production. The objectives of the project can be presented as follows.
Output 1 - Analysis of the current situation:
-Evaluate the methods and practices applied in the target areas
-Ensuring the objectives of the project and involving the stakeholders
-Assessment of the extension status in typical farm areas.
Output 2 – Benchmarking:
A list of criteria for selecting typical fields for the purpose of benchmarking.
Output 3 - Determine the technologies to be implemented:
- Determine the target crops based on specific criteria and techniques according to the partial strategy of the Irrigation Technical Center.
-Determine appropriate irrigation and drainage methods/technologies.
Output 4 – Developing the initial plan and selecting the site:
-Develop an initial outline of typical fields
-Assessment of lands allocated to model farms
-Completion of the field study of the selected sites

Study & Design AlUlla Model Farms in Mar 2023 till Sep 2023.
Deliverables:

Output 1 - An inception report and work plan to implement the assignment. 
Output 2 – Agreed plan for the field sampling component including approach to be used (random, grid, diagonal or zigzag, landscape directed, etc.), the number of samples to be collected and the depth of sampling. 
Output 3 - Site descriptions and contour maps of the Magna Farms sites, including a review of available geomorphic and geological data 
Output 4 – Physical analysis results across the whole site based on the respective samples taken.
Output 5 – Chemical analysis results across the whole site based on the respective samples taken.
Output 6 – Set of digital “Soil Maps” covering the whole site and summarizing the analysis results   into a “mapped” format. 
Output 7 - Final summary report detailing all aspects of the project and its implementation. This report will be technically reviewed by the end client before approval.
