NELDA JADE APOSTOL

I'm Nelda Jade Apostol. a university lecturer for thirty years.I started my career as a secondary school teacher . After having finished my post graduate studies I shifted into teaching in the university , where I gained considerable experience in handling students from different walks of life and of various ages.

Teaching has always been my passion.It makes me happy looking back how I greatly contributed in nurturing the future pillars of our society- my students.

It is my utmost intention to share my knowledge and skills to whoever would need me. Rest assured I will give my best to make a difference in the academe.

I have been teaching for the past thirty years. I started as a Biology teacher in the secondary level and later shifted to teaching in the university. Having Biology as my major I taught in the college of Nursing. I handled Biology related courses like Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology and Biochemistry. Along with the science related courses I also teach English to various students. I taught  medical English and IELTS in Oman for  four years and before that I was also an ESL teacher for Japanese, Chinese and Koreans.Until now I still run IELTS and OET courses to help students achieve their desired scores for academic purposes.

Indeed my experience in teaching both English and the sciences has allowed me to travel and work in different countries,

I am a firm believer of education, thus I practically spent most of my life getting all sorts of trainings and post graduate programmes. By doing so, I  am well equipped to teach in whatever level of students specially  in the context of teaching through content.

I finished my degree in Education in one of the best teacher -training university in the Philippines. After acquiring my license to teach, I enrolled myself in the College of Law because I have this will power to keep myself updated with any cognitively challenging courses. 

Not being contented with my second degree I further enrolled myself in the University of the Philippines for additional Masters degree in Public Management where I completed all the academic requirements.Having did all that, I enrolled myself again for CELTA training for me to be better trained to teach English in the university.

To sum up, whenever I feel the need  to acquire relevant education for a specific job I don't hesitate to enrol my self for further studies. I'm doing this for the love of my profession, thus being able to  deliver the best lectures I can have for the welfare and benefit of my students.
