 I am a DNA Analyst with eight years of experience in the academic research lab. As a candidate who is experienced in the responsibilities associated with this role, I believe that this is the perfect opportunity for me to apply what I have learned with my previous professional experiences in Forensic Biology and Biotechnology, which developed my expertise in research lab. My research contributions include publications in peer reviewed journals and assistance in the master’s level research projects by contributing to ideas, design and execution

Taught master’s degree lab courses - Forensic Serology and Forensic Molecular Biology, Forensic Genetics, and co-supervised in master theses lab work. Impart practical knowledge for • Presumptive and confirmatory serological tests • Extraction and purification of DNA from a diverse range of human biological specimens (blood, semen, saliva, hairs, nails, and bones) by chemical methods and commercial kits • Quantitative and qualitative evaluations of DNA via the use of Real-time PCR, NanoDrop Spectrophotometer, and Qubit fluorometer. • Fragment analysis by amplification of autosomal and Y chromosomal STR marker genes by Multiplex PCR kits • Capillary Electrophoresis • Data Analysis by GMID-X • Interpretation by Probabilistic Genotyping • Gel Electrophoresis • Sanger Sequencing • Sequence analysis by SeqScape • Massively parallel sequencing. The other lab tasks held were • Maintaining inventory and submitting request orders for procurement of necessary chemicals and supplies • Instruments’ maintenance and calibration • Prepare necessary laboratory reagents • Conduct method validations when necessary.
