Purpose/Key Accountabilities:

Leading Maritime company working in the offshore oil & gas services is seeking a The Medical Manager - Offshore who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all medical operations and services on offshore oil and gas facilities. This includes the development and implementation of medical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, managing the medical team, and providing medical support and advice to offshore personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement medical policies and procedures for offshore facilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to offshore medical operations.
• Manage and lead the medical team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Coordinate and oversee the provision of medical services, including first aid, emergency response, and medical evacuations.
• Provide medical support and advice to offshore personnel, including evaluating and treating injuries and illnesses.
• Maintain medical records and documentation in accordance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with external medical providers and consultants as needed.
• Participate in emergency response drills and exercises.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of medical programs and services.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the health and safety of offshore personnel.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Follow company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and contribute to the achievement of safety goals and objectives.
• Identify and report any hazards, incidents, or near misses.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Effective management of medical operations on offshore facilities.
• Compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Timely and appropriate medical support and treatment for offshore personnel.
• Accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Efficient coordination with external medical providers and consultants.
• Successful participation in emergency response drills and exercises.

Requirements

• Medical degree and current medical license
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore medical management
• Thorough knowledge of offshore medical practices and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Fluency in English.
