    Job Summary

    Lead/Staff Scientist Sustainability and Energy Technologist is expected to Initiate, Propose and Execute research and development, Debottlenecking/Revamp, Energy saving, Sustainability improvement programs directed towards the improvement of processes and commercial technologies.

    Lead in-house new process technology development, scale up & implementations in commercial plants. Provide technology solution to improve energy consumption in commercial plants for the conventional operation, turnover, and re-commissioning as needed. Provide trouble-shooting & Root cause analysis support and drive problem resolution for commercial plants.

    The Sustainability and Energy technologist is required to support in Growth Projects and evaluate energy efficiency of multiple designs of blue ammonia plants, be aware of the differences of available licensing technology from main licensors and the impact on energy in each configuration, support the project team to select the most efficient technology.


    Key Responsibilities :
    Provide guidance and conduct an energy assessment to select the optimal technology for Blue Ammonia development and process configuration.
    Possess knowledge of industry decarbonization solutions and their integration into technology selection.
    Generate energy efficiency reports and implement improvements in commercial plants.
    Develop a plant-wide model to monitor and guide energy consumption and performance improvements.
    Conduct energy and mass balance calculations, energy optimization and pinch studies, pump calculations, feasibility studies, and revamp studies.
    Independently review engineering documents and ensure optimal technology selection and improvements in energy balance.
    Collaborate with external companies, start-ups, and universities to lead projects for plant implementation.
    Offer insights, guidance, and support for product development within the group.
    Actively promote a safety culture, mentor young employees, and initiate new safety initiatives.
    Requirements

    Relocation :
    Permanent relocation to Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
    Preferably holds a Master's or PhD degree.
    Minimum of 15 years of experience in new product development, with a preference for experience or collaboration with start-ups.
    Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
    Leadership skills to effectively work with and influence individuals from diverse disciplines and cultures.
    Capable of creating, nurturing, and promoting a culture of innovation.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    Highly self-motivated and proactive.
