    Job Summary:

    Manage existing HSE MS and implement the continuous improvement model for the organization's health, safety and environmental management system intended to protect the organization's employees, the environment, and property against harm or damage.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assure facility and field health, safety, and environmental compliance. This function will include implementing and maintaining written programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Other critical responsibilities will include performing safety inspections on a regular basis, assuring that corrective actions have been completed as a result of safety inspections.
  • Customer required safety surveys/training is also a requirement of this job function. This function requires that certain safety related certifications be kept up to date at all times.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Risk Assessments (RA).
  • Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPS).
  • Proper handling and management of waste and raw materials includes but is not limited to labelling requirements, inspections, training documentation, accumulation times and proper disposal.
  • Reporting and documenting all work-related injuries and claims. This includes ensuring that all workplace injuries are reported within the allowed time frame into our internal tracking system.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend corrective action(s) for all injury/illness, property damage, and environmental incident.
  • Actively participate in industrial injury & illness and near-miss investigations to identify root cause and make positive recommendations to prevent recurrence to include implementation and follow-up.
  • Assist with the administration of workers hearing conservation, facility inspections, safety data sheets (SDS) database and all related safety programs.
  • Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of all safety and environmental records and reports as required by governmental regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the department managers/supervisors/leads to assist with HSE training and the development of a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
  • Actively support, document, and conduct training as necessary in the areas of New Hire Safety Orientation, Short Service Employee (SSE) program, Monthly Safety Training and required annual refresher training in accordance with the countries and NOV regulatory requirements.
  • Aid in development/implementation of site-specific practices and procedures for HSE compliance to NOV HSE Management System and local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Corporate HSE/Risk Management and/or Contractors/Suppliers for HSE Programs (Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Protection, Incident Reporting and Claims, Waste Management and Control, Security
  • Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment supporting HSE functions.
  • Coordinate the collection of HSE data (plan status, achievements, incident information, incident closure ratios, work hours, industry trends and rates, corrective actions,
  • Develop training modules (or specialized HSE training) as required and allocating training modules in HSE achieve portal.
  • Review employee safety training and medical programs, conduct specialized HSE training, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current industry and company health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes. Keep abreast of new HSE engineering techniques, procedures, instruments and equipment through seminars, educational institutions, professional organizations, textbooks, technical papers, and periodicals.
  • Perform other duties when assigned related to facility Management, vendor audits, HSE client data.
  • Update HSE Manual and HSE procedures relating to WSS HSE procedures for changes.
  • HSE performance review as per the plan with area management and annual HSE performance review for continuous improvement of HSE MS.
  • Laisse with contracted certification agency for external audits in the region.
  • Conducting Internal Audits as per ISO Standards and NOV HSE procedures.
  • Present audit Findings and recommending to the local or Area Management.
  • BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Computer Skills (Microsoft, Excel, Power Point & teams).
  • Ability to work alone & with team.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Relevant experience in HSE advisory role within the oil & gas industry.
  • Provide support to all divisions within the NOV facility and Global HSE team.
  • Update HSE technical knowledge as per NOV HSE Systems and Client HSE Systems.
  • Familiar with HSE regulations and practices in NOV WBT group.
  • NEBOSH – IGC Certification
  • ISO 45001 Internal Course, ISO 14001 Internal Course
  • Other HSE related trainings, . First Aiders, Fire Warden, H2S, BOSIET, etc.
  • Provide support for the implementation of company wide HSE initiatives.
  • Auditing experience as per HSE Management Systems.
  • Has Vast experience working on rig sites.
  • Has experience working with Saudi Aramco.
  • Familiar with the countries HSE regulations, laws and practices.
  • In house Trainer Experience
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in HSE or relevant.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field, preferable in the marine, oil and gas industry.
  • Rig site and off-site customers location field experience.
