Overview

Pilates instructors are responsible for leading Pilates classes and providing guidance to CORE members who want to improve their physical fitness. They may also be called upon to design individualized exercise programs for members with specific goals or needs. Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrating exercises to members and providing individualized instruction and corrections.
• Determining what equipment is needed for classes, such as balls, mats, blocks, straps, exercise balls, resistance bands, and weights.
• Before and after each instructed class, ensures that the Pilates reformer studio is well maintained and adequately equipped, including microphones, sound, projector and any additional audio/visual equipment that may have been used during the class.
• Teaching members stretching exercises to improve flexibility, posture, and cardiovascular health.
• Demonstrating how to use exercise equipment in a safe manner.
• Scheduling classes and communicating with members about class times and calendar.
• Demonstrating proper technique to members during classes.
• Assisting members with proper form during exercise routines.
• Observing members during class to monitor form, posture, breathing patterns, technique, and safety precautions.
• Leading group fitness classes that focus on strengthening the core muscles and improving balance and flexibility.
• Performs administrative duties including follow-up phone calls, calendar updates.
• Conducts mat-based Pilates classes for beginning or intermediate levels.
  
  

Experiences & Qualifications

• Relevant degree/qualifications to the role
• Industry experience as a Qualified Pilates Reformer Instructor
• Experience working individually and /or within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Areas of specialism (Pilates Mat, Reformer)
• Additional Yoga qualification would be an advantage
• CPD, certifications, seminars, upskill workshops and ongoing education during their professional career.
• Comfortable with new and different cultures.
• A dynamic attitude, as the role(s) may expand into Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world over the next 5 years.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Character: hardworking, team player, flexible, creative, passionate, energetic, and charismatic showcasing a positive attitude, and forward-thinking with a growth mindset.
