    Responsibilities

    This is the fully qualified level job. Responsible for complex tasks associated with testing in chemical/scientific research environment for purposes of product development, process development and application, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and improvement of analytical methodologies. Communicates results through documentation. May develop and test new products. Confers with scientists and engineers regarding research. Prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests. Work is only reviewed for completeness and standards followed.

    • Plan and complete assigned research and development projects relating to Weatherford chemicals
    • Conduct Stimulation analyses and methods development
    • Design, collect, analyze and report results of analyses
    • Summarize key technical data for presentation
    • Interface with multidisciplinary scientists and engineers to solve technical problems
    • Suggest and implement improvements to the company's laboratory operations and instrument development
    • Comply with Product development process
    • Organize and maintain database of laboratory data and reports. I
    • Document and communicate opportunities, ideas, results, and issues in a timely manner for internal and external customers
    • Perform laboratory work as required
    • Test products as needed for specific applications
    • Conduct bench and pilot-scale (laboratory) chemical reactions on production chemical additives
    • Maintain product information, raw material specifications, and physical properties. Ensure conformance with all HSE procedures
    • Maintain lab equipment as required for safe and accurate use
    • Communicate advances and results to internal customers and business units as appropriate
    • Prioritize projects after communication with Drilling fluids Operation manager
    • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level
    • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by Manager within the physical constraints of the job
    • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's in chemistry or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in drilling fluids & 5+ years' experience in the laboratory testing is essential
      • Detailed knowledge of Relevant industry standards relating to drilling fluids and/or stimulation materials and testing.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Personal computer skills
      • Must possess satisfactory laboratory techniques, and the ability to interact with others.
      • Computer skills including Microsoft office applications
      • Knowledge of chemical processes
      • The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
      • Available 24 x 7 as demanded by operations
