    Job Description and Responsibilities:

    A Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing a team of technicians. material testing, analyze results, and collaborate with project teams. Strong knowledge of construction materials and quality control procedures is typically required. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead, motivate, and manage laboratory personnel to achieve high levels of performance and quality standards.
  • Testing and Analysis: Oversee the execution of materials testing and analysis, including but not limited to mechanical, chemical, and physical testing of materials.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and accuracy of test results, in compliance with ISO/ASTM standards.
  • Research and Development: Collaborate with the senior management to support the development of new products and materials, including the design and execution of testing protocols.
  • Equipment and Safety: Ensure that all laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated according to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and certifications, ensuring the lab's adherence to relevant guidelines.
  • Budget Management: Manage the lab budget effectively, allocating resources for equipment, supplies, and personnel.
  • Qualification / Skills / Experience required:

  • Minimum B.Sc. Level in Civil Engineering.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Local Saudi Nationals will be preferred.
  • Strong personality, goal-minded and proactive approach to teamwork, development of relationships, and a tenacity to seek out all possible opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of materials testing techniques and standards (e.g., ASTM, BS and EN).
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and MS Office.
  • Demonstrable ability to both exceeds targets and work to tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently to develop the business delivery role, increasing the customer base and ultimately assisting the department to grow along with the company goals.
  • Ability to work successfully with clients and peers from various cultural background.
