Our platform aims to meet the digital transformation needs of organizations of all sizes and governments. We are expanding kingdom wide and looking for GIS Specialists to join our team in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, Mecca, Dammam).

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a GIS Specialist at Urbi. The GIS Specialist will conduct field surveys daily and use geospatial technology to develop maps. The role will include fieldwork to gather data, using GIS software to create maps and data analysis to develop spatial solutions that help organizations make informed decisions. The GIS Specialist will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of GIS surveyors. This includes managing teams, analysing data, and utilizing URBI technologies & software for data management. Remote work is a very limited option, but the role will be primarily based on field in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, Mecca, and Dammam.

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages is a MUST.
    • Availability for daily field surveys.
    • Strong knowledge of GIS software and tools to create maps and conduct surveys.
    • Data management experience
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Experience in tasks management.
    • Ability to create accurate maps.
    • Expertise in data collection and analysis methodologies to derive insights from complex data sets and spatial data.
    • Understanding of spatial analytics and geospatial statistics, and experience in applying these concepts to real-world problems.
    • Knowledge of satellite, drone, and GPS technology is a plus.
    • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Geography, Geoinformatics, or related field.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with public when collecting community data.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage a team of GIS Surveyors.
    • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
    • Valid driving license is an advantage.
