Mission:

Operate and takes care of the crane
Carry out lifting operation in a safe manner
Maintain contact with the bridge and the Deck Foreman duringliftingoperations

Tasks:

Operatethe crane within the designed crane load capacity, in accordancewith the derating tables applicable to existingweatherand sea stateconditions

Performsbasket transfers where permitted and safe to doso

Holdthe Offshore Crane Operator certification (level 2 for unsupervisedinboard lifts; level 3 for unsupervised offshorelifts)

Beaware of the surroundings in terms of potential clashes with othervesselequipment

Beaware of crane limits in terms of reach andcapacity

Onvessels with multiple cranes, be aware of the interaction withother cranes and proactively intervene in order to avoidanyinterference during simultaneousoperations

Interactwith the supervisors in order to define the liftingprocedures

Reportany crane equipment malfunctioning to ownsupervisor

Ensurethat all safe work procedures for crane lifts are adheredto

Liaisewith Bridge and 1st Assistant/Deck Foreman while executing anylifts that could affect the vesselstability

Makedaily inspection of cranecables

Carryout daily routine maintenance to the crane and the operatorscabin

Keepa high level of housekeeping on the crane and in the operatorscabin

Liaisewith 2nd Engineer/Crane Engineer/Chief Electrician/Vessel EquipmentEngineer on crane maintenance andperformance,in order to ensure that repairs and preventive maintenance arecarried outproperly

Carryout weekly inspection of the crane in accordance with themanufacturersrecommendations

Fillup the crane log book as required for all lifts above 50ton

Issuework instructions to the TuggerhoistOperators

Stopthe lifting activity if required on safety or technical grounds, ifcontinuing could cause any damages orinjuries

Reportto the 1st Assistant, while taking instructions directly from theDeck Foreman during liftingoperations
