RolePurpose To control the cost of thecountry teaching operation including effective teacher utilisationplanning management of indirect costs and process improvements toimprove margins. Responsible for the effective management of theteaching operations team ensuring they operate in budget and inaccordance with regional and SBU strategies.

    MainAccountabilities:
    Servicedelivery
    • Working with theCluster Operations Lead translates Regional English Strategies into13 year Operations plan including continual improvement to globalstandards effective integration of new products/services /deliverymethods and process/ systemschanges.
    • Implements a range of standardisedoperational procedures and systems within the Teaching Centre(s) toachieve specified clearly measurable targets (revenue volume timeand/or cost).
    • End to end oversight ofoperational planning logistics resourcing service deliveryperformance /standards and effective capacity management for thecountry.
    • Agrees SLA (Service Level Agreement)requirements and performance management of supportingfunctions/external suppliers.
    • Provides supportand oversight to student administration including transfers waitinglists absences.
    • Identifies and shares examplesof best practice with Cluster.
    • Works with theCommercial Manager to anticipate demand and liaises with internaland external stakeholders to utilise internal classroom space andsource external space against demand.
    • Managesthe day to day logistics of the Teaching Centre includingtimetabling cover and duty rota using agreedtemplates.
    • Sets up maintains and communicatesthe academic calendar using agreedtemplate.
    • Manages academic processes such asattendance academic records reports and certificates according toproduct and service guidelines ensuring compliance with TCMSacademic management policies andprocesses.

    Relationshipand Stakeholdermanagement
    • Develops andmaintains excellent relationships and communication with internalstakeholders across a range of business and geographical areas toinform and enable mediumterm innovation and improvements in thequality of teaching delivery.
    • Builds goodworking relationships with corporate stakeholders including TaxLegal and Information Governance.
    • Managessafeguarding of Young Learners and parent engagement for thecountry.
    • Ensures customer complaints and issuesare resolved within according to agreed process andSLA.

    Analysisand Reporting
    • Supportsbusiness process improvement through reviewing data analysingoutcomes and providing recommendations to the Cluster OperationsLead.
    • Reports on teacher utilisation usingagreed regionaltemplates.

    Riskand compliance
    • Usesstandardised processes to monitor compliance with agreed riskmanagement procedures relevant to teaching delivery (e.g. childprotection security policies financial protocols antifraudmeasures). Highlights to senior managers any instances ofnoncompliance.
    • Ensures team receive andmaintain appropriate induction/training in all relevant riskmanagement procedures.
    • Uses standard corporateprotocols to assess a range of risks in teaching delivery conductsrisk assessments of teachingpremises.

    Commercialand/or financialmanagement
    • Responsible foraccuracy of student financial and registration data includingmanagement of debtors and refunds; Teaching Centre financialrecords as per audit requirements and hourly paid teacher and YLAssistant pay claims.
    • Accurate and timelycompletion of FCCF requirements including income reconciliationscash flow and deferred income.
    • Manages theresourcing and administration for freelance staff (Teachers YoungLearner Assistants) including overseeing pay claims managing leaverota and timetabling.
    • Oversees and coordinatesstock management and inventory for teachingcentre.

    Leadership& management
    • Plansand prioritises countrys operational activities and supports teamdevelopment towards effective delivery of services and delivery ofwork plan.
    • Manages day to day performance ofcountry operations team Motivates and encourages team performanceaddressing sickness discipline etc. to ensure high quality servicedelivery is maintained at all times.
    • Tasks andcoordinates others (e.g. third party suppliers external partners)to complete activities in accordance with agreed service delivery/contractual requirements (e.g. cost schedules time deadlinesetc.).
    About You(essential requirements for therole):
    • Experience ofoperations management with exposure to streamliningoperations.
    • Experience of costmanagement.
    • Experience of successfully deliveryof business processimprovement.

    DesirableRequirements:
    • Experience ofworking as part of a dispersed team
    • Experienceof implementing change.
    • Experience ofoperations within teachingdelivery
