Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Communications or related field
15+ years of progressive experience leading development operations and acquiring major gifts
Outstanding track record of exceeding revenue goals from various donor sources
Develop and execute comprehensive development plans to meet annual revenue targets
Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward high-level donors and corporate funders
Oversee grant research, proposal writing and foundation reporting to increase funding
Build relationships with foundation officers and program managers
Lead special events to strengthen donor relationships and acquire new supporters
Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing development team
Create fundraising proposals, case statements and other materials
Monitor key metrics and report on development performance
Ensure adherence to fundraising policies, ethical standards and legal requirements
Manage the development budget and optimize spending across initiatives
Stay abreast of trends, innovations and best practices to advance fundraising strategies
Inspire and motivate the development team towards a shared vision
