- Design and develop piping systems for oil and gas production facilities, including pipelines, valves, and associated components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, as well as project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate piping designs with overall project requirements.
- Create 2D and 3D drawings using design software and tools.
- Perform calculations and analysis to validate design integrity and functionality.
- Review and evaluate contractors' proposals, technical specifications, and materials for piping systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, change orders, and project progress.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and drafters.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to piping design.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Piping Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API, ANSI).
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
