    Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA): Graduate Programme 2024

    The purpose of this position is to support the Learning & Development objectives by:

    • Identifying and cultivating a talent pool with qualifications that match the vital skills needed by the Bank.
    • Filling open entry-level roles within the organization.
    • Implementing a talent management strategy for managerial growth to facilitate future planning.
    • The Graduate Trainee is anticipated to engage in a structured learning program and hands-on training to enhance both professional skills and personal development within their chosen career path.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage in all necessary activities as part of the Young Talent program determined by the leadership.
    • Contribute, participate, and complete projects as instructed by line management and the Young Talent program.
    • Attend and actively engage in all designated training sessions under the Young Talent program to enhance knowledge and skills (in collaboration with the line manager).
    • Take part in campus activities, career expos, or presentations to promote the DBSA graduate scheme.
    • Play a role in continually assessing and enhancing the Young Talent program by pinpointing areas for improvement and success factors to leverage.
    • Manage all aspects of task planning, completion, and implementation.
    • Define learning objectives at the start of each task.
    • Execute assigned work to the specified level and quality expected by the line manager.
    • Meet deadlines set by line management for tasks/projects and bear full responsibility for achieving business objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide regular progress updates to the line manager on assigned projects.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    1. Marketing,
    2. Human Capital,
    3. Auditing,
    4. Finance
    5. Legal
    • No prior work experience needed.
    • Must hold South African citizenship.
    • Academic achievement with an overall grade average of 65%+ in the final year of study.
    • Completion of a degree from a South African University or an equivalent NQF-level qualification.
