    STRAGO International is looking for Obstetric / Gynaecology Consultants for a state-of-the-art private hospital based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Our client is the largest private healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. The group was founded in Riyadh in 1995 and has several hospitals and medical centers, pharmacies, and specialist facilities such as fertility, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and dermatology centers.

    Job Summary:
    As an Obstetric / Gynaecology Consultant, you will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases and issues related to women's health, and providing medical counsel and support to women during the perinatal period.

    Responsibilities:

  • Obstetrics: Providing prenatal care, managing pregnancies, assisting in childbirth, and ensuring the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby before, during, and after delivery.
  • Gynecology: Diagnosing and treating various conditions affecting the female reproductive system, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fertility issues, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and menopause-related concerns.
  • Surgical Procedures: Performing surgical interventions related to obstetrics and gynecology, such as cesarean sections (C-sections), hysterectomies, tubal ligations, laparoscopic surgeries, pap smears and other minimally invasive procedures.
  • Cancer Screening and Prevention: Conducting screenings for cervical, ovarian, and breast cancers, as well as providing appropriate treatments or referrals for further evaluation if needed.
  • Family Planning and Contraception: Offering guidance on contraception methods and family planning options.
  • Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility: Managing issues related to hormonal imbalances, infertility evaluations, and treatments like in vitro fertilization (IVF) or hormonal therapies.
  • Menopause Management: Assisting women during menopausal transitions by addressing symptoms and providing guidance on managing this stage of life.
  • Supervising the practicing midwives and making final decisions regarding the care for and/or referral of complicated prenatal cases.
  • Requirements:
    The employer is looking for Consultants who have any of the following specialist qualifications with a minimum 3-4 years of experience post-qualification:
    US Board/ FRCS - Irish, CCT/CCST from the UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian Specialist Diploma/ Diplome d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/CIS French Board / Facharzt & Sub- Board/ Fellowship

    The contract is for 2 years (renewable) and the hospital offers the following benefits:

  • Complimentary family housing.
  • Transportation for the employee's spouse and up to 2 children under 18 years old.
  • Home-to-work and work-to-home transportation provided to the employee.
  • Standard annual leave allowance of 30 days.
  • Professional Leave: Up to 5 or 7 calendar days, granted after completing 12 months of service with a valid contract for the subsequent 12 months.
  • Leave Air Travel: Available to employees after completing 12 months of service with a valid contract for the subsequent 12 months.
  • Health Care: Extended to the employee and authorized dependents.
  • Child Education Assistance: Maximum support for 2 authorized children aged over 6 years and under 18 years, with each child entitled to up to SR. 16,000 or SR. 20,000 per annum.
  • Working Hours: 48 hours per week over 6 days, with on-call responsibilities
