TheRole:

As asite reliability Engineer, you will be a key member of a team thatleverages software and system engineering practices to build andrun distributed, highly reliable systems at scale

Workingwith engineering team, you will define and drive initiatives tostrive for operational excellence and best practice withinobservability, availability, resilience, and service up-time. Youwill have a code first mindset to build tools and automation thatremove repetitive tasks with an endeavour for self-healingservices.

Youwill have clear oversight on how system relate to each other, withautonomy to continuously iterate improvements to achieve highlyavailable, fault tolerantapplications.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Managein house developed production services by improved observability onsystem health
• Improvereliability, quality and compliance of services deployed withincloudtechnologies
• Developautomation techniques to simplify repetitive tasks and exploreopportunities to self-heal
• Managecadence for delivery against system reliability with well-definedservice level objectives
• Participatein system design, platform management and servicereviews

DesiredSkills:

• Strongexperience in a similar DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer role
• Desirableunderstanding of IaC (infrastructure as code), CI/CD and moderntooling practices such as Terraform, CloudFormation and Jenkins
• Experiencewith monitoring and tracing – Eg: AppDynamics, Datadog,NewRelic
• Knowledgeof cloud architecture (especially AWS)
• Abilityto code (structured and object oriented) with one of more languages(Java, JavScript, Python)
• Experiencewith Containerisation (Docker, ECS)
• Aproactive approach to problems determination, identifying areas forimprovement and system bottle necks
• Excellentcommunication skills, collaborative andpersonable
