- Performs work that is varied and complex, under direct supervision. Consistently applies knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.
- Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work, and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
- Create detailed General Arrangement Drawings with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Calculate dimensions, weight, and include BOM in the GAD
- Prepare Pneumatic Schematics & control systems.
- Ensure the final valve assembly is in-line with the GAD and revise the GAD to As-Built if required.
- Prepare and review the drawings and review them along with the engineering team.
- Able to interact and maintain good rapport with various functions and inter-departments in the organization smoothly and get the things done positively.
- Maintains and updates Engineering reports and Team reports, associated database and be able to present the data & support the Audits (ISO 9001, API SPEC Q1 & API 6D)
- Ability to define a problem collect data and contact appropriate entities to resolve the same
- Timely update status to all the stake holders.
- Follow established engineering standards and procedures for product design to produce consistent and reliable results.
- Check each drawing for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance, and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly. Perform self-checking.
- Deliver clear and complete drawings/analysis reports/ documentation/part list, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality.
- Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation and computer filing.
- Maintain and develop technical and other interpersonal skills, always in full compliance with company policies, using the resources productively and innovatively.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Engineering Graduate preferably Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years' experience in Control Valve & Ball Valve manufacturing industry.
- Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Hands-on experience with pneumatic schematics & control systems.
- Good math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents.
- Proficient in 3D modelling (Solidworks) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD & DraftSight)
- Must be conversant with GD&T and drafting standard ANSI Y 14.5
- Experienced user of computer programs like Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
