    Purpose of Position

    The API Inspector will be responsible for carrying out field surveys to assign and/or remove CMLs, assign suitable NDT technique for NDT technicians and make remaining life and Minimum thickness calculations with minimum supervision.

    Able to work under pressure with tight timelines and with minimum supervision
    - The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

    Major Responsibilities
    - Ensure project activities are performed in accordance with accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards and that project activities are performed in accordance with the health, safety, and environmental policy.

    Ensure onsite work activities are performed in accordance with the health, safety, and environmental policy, and specific control of work procedures and practices.

    Ensuring quality of work according to BV and Client Quality System

    Ensure to follow the BV and Client HSE policy, procedures and guidelines.

    Maintain regular job-related contact with the stakeholders, client and liaise with the subcontractors and BV Technical team when needed.

    Actively participate in the overall departmental and operational tasks in the office.

    Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

    Maintaining internal and external communication.

    Promotes BV portfolio to clients.

    Respects security guidelines of BV and clients and safeguards personal security in the working environment

    Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information.

    Continuous learning and developing in the area of responsibility.

    Qualification and Experience
    - Graduate with minimum +8 years of engineering experience. Technical diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Chemical engineering would be an advantage.

    API 510- Authorized Pressure Vessel Inspector

    API 570- Authorized Piping Inspector

    API-571 Certified Corrosion and Materials professional
    - Should have the experience of engineering in core sectors such as Oil & Gas/Power.

    Skills & Qualities:
    - Thorough understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT.

    Thorough understanding of P&IDs, Isometrics and As-built drawings

    Thorough understanding of defect assessment techniques in accordance with relevant codes/standards.

    Thorough knowledge of static equipment and pipework design and inspection codes of practice.

    Knowledge of related standards / regulatory requirements.

    Plant/vendor inspection and associated expertise.

    Versatile and flexible team player with good verbal and written reporting and Communication skills. Good command of the English language.
