Develop and maintain project cost control procedures and systems Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs Conduct regular cost analysis and forecasting to monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternatives to optimize project costs Monitor and report on project cost performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders Collaborate with project teams to assess change requests and evaluate their impact on project costs Review and evaluate contractor proposals and provide recommendations on cost-related matters
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field Minimum of 15 years experience as a Cost Engineer or similar role in the construction industry ideally in Middle East Strong understanding of cost control principles and techniques Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools Excellent analytical and mathematical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
