    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Contracts Admin carries out all contract administrations activity for a project of a significant size. Interface with client's Commercial Management and Executives to advice, present, and report status of the program's commercial and contract well being.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coordination with site team to ascertain contractual and practical measures to ensure compliance with requirements. Advice on specific requirements of the contract and performance in accordance therewith.

    Assessing contractual implications of site decisions and optimization of practical contract conditions.

    Maintaining a working relationship with Design, Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Legal Management to facilitate organizational interfaces supervision of site measurement team, management of monthly valuations.

    Agreeing valuations and methods of reimbursement with stakeholders . Setting up and managing site valuation procedures. Liaison and coordination of agreement on valuations with Contractors.

    Managing directives and variations, reviewing client requirements, assessing implications , negotiation of omissions or extra costs, coordination and reporting on the contractual implications of other parties engaged with the works.

    Final Accounts management including preparation, submission and agreement with client/Consultant and similarly with the respective subcontractors.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    No less than 5 years experience in dealing with major projects..

    Experience of preparing bills of quantities cost estimates, and the managements of claims required. Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential..

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts. Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
