CompanyOverview:Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Site Safety Managerwith successful and progressive experience in performing theenforcement of the corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE ) program and providing safety oversight and support toconstruction operations. The position requires the ability to workcollaboratively with managers and supervisors to provide a safework environment for Team Members while using independent judgmentto resolve safety relatedissues.

PositionSummary:Thesuccessful candidate shallhaveaminimum of5-7 years offield safety experience in heavy civil construction andtransportation

Responsibilities:

• ConductHSE inspections and audits of constructionprojects
  
• Preparationof weekly safetyreports
  
• AssistProject Managers and supervisors with work planning and developmentof job hazard analysis and safe workprocedures
  
• Conductaccident/incident investigations including root causeanalysis
  
• Conductindustrial hygieneassessments
  
• PerformHSE orientations including drug/alcoholtesting
  
• ConductHSE training in small and large groupenvironments
  
• Performadditional assignments as required by the needs of the Company, oras otherwisedirected.

Requirements

• Qualifications:
  

• Bachelors degree in safety engineering, safety management, occupationalenvironment health, industrial health, or related fieldbeneficial
  

• CertifiedSafety Manager (CSM), or Certified Health & SafetyTechnician (CHST) certifications beneficial but notrequired
  

• Knowledgeof Construction Safety and Health regulations, including OSHAconstruction and general industryregulations
  

• Experiencewith Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)beneficial
  

• OSHAAuthorized ConstructionTrainer
  

• Excellentverbal and written communications skills; Bi-lingual(English/Spanish) preferred but notrequired
  

• Strongcomputer skills, including MSOffice
  

• Self-motivatedand able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimalsupervision
