JOB PURPOSE:

-Perform the operation activities necessary as part of the Manufacturing team to ensure the safe and efficient

production of Chlorine and Utility plants and associated by-products with quality specifications through

company approved procedures.

-Operate plants/ equipment (from field and DCS) with or without guidance.

-Operate 2 or more Area/ plant processes

-Capable of Utilizing IT systems for reporting and data gathering

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

-Safely and efficiently operate process equipment in accordance with Company policies, procedures and

work instructions while maintaining high level of competence in the job

-Comply with the required personal protective equipment prior to handling the shift or any jobs

-Ensure production targets and quality specifications are met. Complete daily reports/logs as required.

Respond process adjustment on the basis of test results from process samples given to QC Lab.

-Prepare equipment for mainteance and raise maintenance notifications as per authorisation.

-Monitor and trouble-shoot both the process and equipment. Identify & report process deviations,

equipment failures and hazards; and assist in plant investigations and problem resolution.

-Actvie participation and successfully complete training and development activities. Provide on-the-job

training for other operators as required.

-Completes routine housekeeping and maintain high standard

-Operates plant/equipment w/o guidance ( field, localized DCS) and Enters data accurately and promptly

into the Control Room system ( SIC, GPI)

Responsible for collection and delivery of in process samples for laboratory analysis

-Participates in incident investigations

-Assists team members with tasks if & when required

Prepares routine permits to work for their area ( WAH, Hot work, Line isolations etc.)

Completes shift logs

Capable of utilizing IT systems for reporting and data gathering

Follows set procedures in the event of an emergency situation

Operates 2 or more Area/Plant processes

Ensures all shift handover requirements are well detailed, easy to understand and ensure continuity

of plant/process performance is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

, diploma certificate in chemical engineering or equivalent, Graduate Preferred

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy chemical industries and or Utilities plant of which 3 years

must be in same Position.

-A working knowledge of heavy chemical process industries or Utilities plant.

-A thorough knowledge of unit operation.

-A significant level of problem solving ability.

-Good understanding of loss control Management.

-Able to work in a team environment.

-Familiar with graphics display number, historical trends manipulation.

-Familiar with plant start up, shutdown procedures.

-Able to communicate with his teammates and colleagues.

-Physically fit to do the job.

-Inspect and test integrity of safety critical equipment
