    JOB PURPOSE:
    Describing the overall objective of the job and, essentially, why the job exists

    As Manager - Cabin Programs, you will play a crucial role in managing the specification, development and introduction of new industry leading cabin products, equipment, and configurations for the airlines future fleet.

    Your primary purpose is to provide technical guidance for the specification, selection, development and on-time completion/delivery of aircraft interior configurations, cabin products and materials that meets international/local certification regulations and the commercial and operational needs of the airline.

    By leveraging your technical mindset, problem solving skills, previous experience, and expertise, you will contribute to achieving the organization's objectives of maintaining a modern, innovative, reliable and cost-effective fleet while supporting the overall success of the company.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Accountability statement describing the result areas
    Support LOPA studies for new fleet head-of-versions and sub fleets based on business requirements.

    Coordinate between OEMs and various suppliers to ensure the overall aircraft cabin interior configuration is defined on time to avoid late changes that can impact overall program budget and aircraft delivery schedule.

    Coordinate with supplier engineers, external design agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure cabin product certification requirements, weight, durability, maintainability, design, safety, and operational standards are met.

    Provide technical guidance and support to OEMs and suppliers for the development of new industry leading cabin configurations, cabin products, monuments, and branding elements from the initial technical coordination meeting to inspection and delivery.

    Manage and oversee the engineering design and development of specific cabin programs to ensure on time, on budget and on spec delivery.

    Support and drive cabin reliability improvements for future cabin products through structured cross-functional engagement with key stakeholders and lessons learned.

    Update executive management on cabin program status, monitor cabin programs for potential risks, highlight/escalate and resolve issues to protect the agreed development schedule, agreed critical milestone dates and ODD.

    Compile technical specifications and provide technical input for the RFP process for new cabin product and supplier selections ensuring full compliance to all technical and regulatory requirements.

    Build strong working relationships with OEM and cabin product/equipment suppliers

    Meet and greet Head of Version (HOV) and subsequent newly delivered aircraft and attend to all cabin related quality, delivery, and in-service issues.

    Monitor and review significant or recurring cabin defects and work with MRO stakeholders, suppliers and OEM for rectification and preventive actions.


    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
    Define the minimum experience required as part of the job
    Minimum 8 years' experience in airline CAMO/ tech services cabin engineering OR design organization as ATA 25 Interiors design engineer, certification engineer (CVE, FAA DER) OR relevant experience with aerospace supplier or OEM
    Proven experience in supporting and delivering aircraft line-fit or retrofit projects and working with cross functional teams.
    Previous experience in authoring SBs, mechanical design, stress analysis and working with CAD is beneficial
    Proven ability in supplier management and working with OEMs and MRO s.

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    Minimum formal qualifications required as part of the job
    Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aeronautical/aerospace engineering
    PMP certified will be beneficial.
    LEAN Six Sigma training will be beneficial

    SKILLS:
    Skills required as part of the job
    General understanding of aircraft design, certification, maintenance, and airline operations
    Strong technical mindset and attention to detail
    Ability to solve complex engineering problems, read and check engineering drawings, 3D assemblies, parts lists, service bulletins and maintenance manuals
    Ability to author technical specifications
    Project management, risk assessment and mitigation
    Strong negotiation skills
    Ability to work with cross functional teams
    Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical details in a clear, simplified format
    Proven proficiency in project management and presentation tools
    Working knowledge of OEM portals such as MBF and Airbusworld.
