    Purpose of the job:

    The role holder will be responsible for the implementation and management of JLL's Logistics Strategy. The Senior Logistics Manager will be central to JLL's logistics planning and logistics reporting, ensuring contractors compliance to Logistics obligations and driving efficiency through the project. The role holder will need to be proactive, safety-focused, performance driven with proven skill-sets and ability to think on his/her feet. This role demands someone with a practical understanding of construction operations and the necessary logistics to support smooth running of the same for built assets above/below ground, infrastructure, services, public realm and landscaping.

    Responsibilities:

    The JLL Senior Logistics Manager will be responsible for:
    • Performing the role of 'Senior Logistics Manager' in-line with the agreed contract for the PMC
    • Ensuring JLL are compliant with the Site Wide Logistics PMC Obligations
    • Produce and implement any required Construction Logistics documentation related to the PMC contract.
    • Manage the logistics managers and associated team.
    • Coordinating with the construction teams to understand and align with their programmes, ensuring the safe movement of plant, people and equipment are managed efficiently in line with the construction sequence, and without congestion around the gate or on site.
    • Administer the Client delivery management system that captures all contractor's delivery forecasts and requests.
    • Assisting the Delivery Team with any transport, logistics or security-related incident responses as necessary
    • Ensuring the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers incorporates logistics requirements and states any logistics-related constraints.
    • Providing advice and instruction to construction teams to deal rapidly and effectively with logistics related incidents and complaints.
    • Coordinating both internally (within JLL) and with all salient stakeholders/third parties including local authorities and contractors regarding cumulative impacts in or outside of the site(s). Ensure audits on the contractor's logistics operations and checking audit records.
    • Assisting the Health & Safety Department with the production of RAMS associated with Logistics operations.
    • Prepare any lessons learned in the logistics activity and present to the client and relevant stakeholders.

    Skills & Experience:

    Mandatory:

    • Experience construction logistics
    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Leadership; able to instill the correct culture within a team, set goals and manage outputs
    • Good communicator; capable of maintaining relationships at all levels.

    Desirable:

    • Experience of transport planning and legislation
    • Experience within the construction / civil engineering sector for infrastructure and buildings on large projects.
    • Computer Literate; competent using web-based systems/Word/Excel/Outlook
