    One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Risk Governance & Compliance Director, with 12+ years of experience In the Ship building industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

    Job Overview

    Strategic oversight and management of risk, governance, and compliance functions,
    ensuring the organization operates within the bounds of legal and regulatory frameworks.

    Strategic Responsibilities

    • Align division goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
    • Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
    • Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
    • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
    • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system improvements.
    • Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.

    Managerial Responsibilities

    • Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
    • Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
    • Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives efficiently.
    • Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
    • Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiate business related issues to senior management.
    • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Craft and execute a comprehensive risk management strategy, in alignment with the organization's strategic goals, overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across all facets of our operations.
    • Strengthen and refine corporate governance frameworks, policies, and practices, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and strict adherence to legal and regulatory mandates.
    • Assume leadership in compliance endeavors, guaranteeing the organization's conformity with pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay vigilant regarding evolving regulatory requirements and drive proactive compliance initiatives.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments and stress testing to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities, taking proactive measures to address issues that could impact the organization's reputation and financial stability.
    • Act as the principal point of contact for regulatory bodies and authorities, expertly managing regulatory inspections, inquiries, and reporting obligations.
    • Formulate and enforce risk management, governance, and compliance policies, protocols, and benchmarks, ensuring their continuous alignment with the ever-evolving legal and regulatory terrain.
    • Establish and uphold robust internal control systems, safeguarding the organization's assets and operational integrity while promoting efficiency and accountability.
    • Formulate and lead thoroughly planned incident response strategies for risk-related incidents, coordinating swift responses and decisive corrective actions as necessitated.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Law, Risk Management or any other similar field.
    • Above 12 years of experience in related field including 6 years in a leadership role.
    • Master's Degree in Business Law, Risk Management or any other similar field.
