Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architectural Leadership: Lead the development and evolution of our storage architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Storage Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive storage strategy encompassing data storage, backup, recovery, and data lifecycle management.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as the foremost authority on storage technologies and tools, offering guidance and recommendations for data storage, backup, and retrieval.
• Infrastructure Optimization: Oversee storage infrastructure optimization efforts, guaranteeing seamless data storage, retrieval, and backup across systems and platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to comprehend requirements and deliver effective storage solutions.
• Data Security: Establish and enforce data security policies, uphold data integrity standards, and implement robust data encryption and access control measures.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends in storage architecture and technology, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
• Mentorship: Provide mentorship and direction to junior members of the storage team, nurturing their professional growth and development.

Skills requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years in storage architecture and management roles.
• Extensive experience with leading storage technologies and platforms - NetApp AFF, Dell EMC Unity, HPE Nimble, Pure Storage.
• Strong proficiency in data storage and backup strategies - Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Veritas NetBackup.
• Expertise in data security and access control practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Proven ability to swiftly adapt to new storage technologies and methodologies.
• Proficient in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform.
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.

Skills Nice to have:

• Certification in relevant storage technologies or architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud-based storage solutions.
• Experience with data deduplication and compression technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of data lifecycle management and archival strategies.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and SVN.
• Proficiency in the Arabic language is highly preferred.
