    One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a New Programs VP, with 12+ years of experience In the Ship building industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

    Job Overview

    Plan and Execute the shipbuilding and MRO programs in line with the company's strategy and policies, collaborating cross-functionally, to capture new opportunities, develop market-leading offers, and ensure seamless translation into contractual baselines.

    Strategic Responsibilities

    • Align division goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
    • Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff;
      planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
    • Define objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
    • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
    • Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.

    Managerial Responsibilities

    • Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
    • Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
    • Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives efficiently.
    • Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
    • Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiate business related issues to senior management.
    • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement shipbuilding and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) programs in alignment with the company's overall strategy.
    • Ensure that program plans conform to the company's strategic objectives, risk management policy, and other relevant policies.
    • Adapt program strategies to the unique context of each opportunity.
    • Collaborate with all company functions, with a focus on business development, to build trust and confidence with prospective customers.
    • Work closely with internal teams to capture new business opportunities and integrate them into the overall program framework.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to streamline program development processes.
    • Collaborate with various functions to create market-leading offers for new shipbuilding and MRO programs.
    • Develop programmatic strategies and plans to guide offer development.
    • Ensure that strategies and plans selected during offer development are accurately translated into contractual baselines for new programs.
    • Utilize knowledge and data from partners, internal references, and trusted sources to develop accurate estimations of time, materials, risk, and management reserves for program performance.
    • Apply these estimates to develop comprehensive and reliable financial resource plans for program execution.
    • Collaborate with business functions, including strategy and development, procurement, and supply chain, design and engineering, and human capital and capability building, to plan the localization of support systems for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) materials and data suppliers.
    • Work to integrate knowledge partners and other stakeholders into applicable program offers.
    • Ensure that all program plans and activities comply with the company's policies and guidelines.
    • Proactively manage risks associated with program development and execution in accordance with the company's risk management policy.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the development and execution of new shipbuilding and MRO programs.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program management practices within the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
    • Above 12 years of experience in related field including 6 years in a leadership role.
    • Master's Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or any other similar field.
