Learning Support Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. As a Learning Support Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide additional support to students who may have learning difficulties or special educational needs. Your role will be crucial in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behavior.
• Support the inclusion of students with special needs in regular classroom activities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Attend team meetings to discuss student progress, challenges, and adjustments to support plans.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with learning difficulties.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Establish open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing concerns.
• Support other tasks as advised by the Teacher

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
• Familiarity with school educational practices
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with teachers and parents
• Strong teaching skills to provide support to students
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students in their learning journey.
