    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Director of Finance Middle East & India(MEET) reports to the company CFO and serves on the leadershipteams of both the regional president and the company CFO. Theposition requires the Finance Director and regional CFO to be anexceptional business partner responsible for challenging andsupporting the business anticipating Air Products ability toanticipate business issues and driving good decisionmaking throughsound financial management. The successful candidate must have theability to function in a matrixed environment at a broadbasedstrategic level while being capable of driving detailed tacticalexecution. The successful candidate will manage a team ofapproximately 610 people.

    The FinanceDirector/CFO will be the point person and key strategic partner forthe regional MEET president a key point person for financial andaccounting issues with our regional Joint Ventures and all financerelated responsibilities for the business in the region. Thisposition will also ensure necessary and timely reportingrequirements are met as requested by Air Products. She/he will haveprimary daytoday responsibility for planning implementing managingand controlling all financialrelated activities for the MEETregion.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Theprimary responsibilities are as follows:

    • Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Financefunction for the region
    • Driving theorganizational talent agenda through development retention andrecruitment efforts for the Finance function within theregion
    • Providing leadership in thedevelopment and continuous evaluation of financial short and longterm strategic objectives and capital management.
    • Utilizing financial information to develop strategicinsights into the current and future state of the business as wellas driving change in order to create a competitive advantage forthe company
    • Develops organization prospectsby studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projectingacquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organizationoperations; identifying opportunities for improvement costreduction and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fundexpansion.
    • Managing processes for financialforecasting budgets and consolidation and reporting for theregion.
    • Participating in mergers acquisitionsstrategic alliances Joint Venture partnerships and other growthrelated initiatives.
    • Ensuring that effectiveinternal controls are in place supporting compliance with GAAP SOXIFRS and applicable country and local regulatory laws and rules forfinancial and tax reporting.
    • This positionwill also be responsible for: coordination of audit requirements(internal and external) execution of regional financial planningincluding operational budgeting market analysis sales reporting andanalysis cost accounting monthly and quarterly and yearlyreporting.
    • Ensure functional independence andappropriate management and financial controls by ensuringcompliance with corporate standards.
    • Ensuringfinancial integrity of business decisions by implementinganalytical policy and actively participating in reviews of businesstransactions

    Qualifications:

    • 15 ormore years of broad finance experience where financial integritybusiness complexity international growth and efficient operationswere keys to success
    • Ability to activelydrive a growth mentality within the region as well as consistentlymeeting the companys growth targets.
    • Continually acting as a business partner both challenging andsupporting the executive team through the assessment of thebusiness operations and potential project analysis.
    • Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced and changingbusiness environment and the ability to anticipate the needs of andpartner with the President peers and associates throughout thebusiness.
    • An understanding of the internaland external requirements of being a member of a largemultinational public company.
    • Capable ofdriving a strong financial process and control mindset throughoutthe region by providing appropriate financial support in theattainment of operating goals and objectives.
    • Ability to isolate business and financial issues for the region andhelp the organization to focus on implementing both toplevelstrategic solutions as well as the daytoday actions that arenecessary for establishing a best in class financialorganization.
    • Excellent manager of peopleable to strike an appropriate balance between empowermentdelegation and handson involvement and able to build direct andcoordinate a capable team.
