    Role Summary:

    This position is responsible for the material availability and timely delivery of goods to the seal QRC, to ensure that the supply of materials meet the operations schedule. You will collaborate with external supplier representatives, operations, logistics, engineering, and quality to solve problems, improve process, and improve key metrics. You will report to the Supervisor, Planning.

    Responsibilities & Requirements:

    The primary objectives for this role will be to determine the material requirements and focus on the on-time delivery commitments to attain operations goals to meet customer ship dates. Maintain inventory levels to targets and work to continuously improve processes, system, and procedures.

    General and Task Management

  • Schedule the supply of materials / components to meet operations requirements and stock levels
  • Develop and track the material arrival dates and update appropriate areas as to the status of schedules and the impact of material shortages.
  • Determine the required materials and generating correct requisition
  • Understand and manage risks or gaps to minimize impact on operations schedule
  • Support inventory counts to validate the inventory accuracy
  • Support logistics in maintaining and establishing correct inventory of finished goods.
  • Ensure that all planning processes are implemented to agreed standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support with logistics activities including but not limited to; inventory control, visual inspection of product, and cycle count activity in warehouse, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as necessary in operations.
  • Relationship Management

  • Communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met timely.
  • Collaborate with other departments to avoid disruption to operations or problems to fulfill customer orders.
  • Work together with operations department leaders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials.
  • Self-Management

  • Skills and Attributes:

  • Good English verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (such as ORACLE and SAP) and different planning method
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Teams, etc.)
  • Results oriented and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Commercial and financial awareness with understanding of how failure impacts the costs, production, manufacture, and customer order fulfillment.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Qualifications and Experience Levels:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Logistics or Industrial Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in material planning ideally in manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
  • Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques may be advantageous.
