    Your Impact:

    The purpose of this role is to provide Design Management skills, working collaboratively with other members on the program. This role will be responsible for delivering timely, coordinated, multidisciplinary designs in alignment with the clients agreed scope. Further, this role will provide inputs to project, designs, tenders and contractor designs . This role will be an integrated role within the development team and delivery partner team within the client and will require significant communication with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Lead and contribute to the Delivery of compliant deliverables within defined and agreed schedules
    • Prioritise work based on the needs and demand of the schedule
    • Provide innovative ideas to meet the client and development / delivery teams needs.
    • Develops superior technical deliverables and review of others' work in the domain of multi disciplinary hospitality & buildings, entertainment and public realm design and documentation for complex projects.
    • Manage the design development, review and verification process in accordance with the Programme policies and procedures including completing review and approving documentation for release.
    • Responsible to negotiate and procure design consultants and services to achieve the project brief and schedule
    • Responsible for management of external sub-consultants in the design process
    • Responsible for the design concept and design documentation to IFC
    • Provide and manage value engineer design proposals
    • Work with the Programme team in formulating, reviewing and approving the Cost plan
    • Work in conjunction with the Development Management Strategy and Leasing
    • Prepare and undertake presentations in conjunction with the Development Manager related to Development Strategy, design, cost and schedule
    • Assist in briefing to relevant stakeholders
    • Identify risks and ensure these are documented in the Programme ARM software, and mitigation measures are followed up
    • Take overall responsibility for the supervision of architects and engineers
    • Coordinate the development approval process and responsibility of relevant documentation for Authority approvals
    • Support and provide progress data to the Programme regular progress reports
    • Recognises cues that suggest a change in approach or behaviour is needed
    • Adaptable to changing needs, conditions, priorities or opportunities.
    • Monitor change to observe improvement/stimulus for further change.
    • Ensure that the design teams have the right mix of skills and leverage the strength of individual members.
    • Mentoring junior talent
    • Providing appropriate project opportunities for team members.
    • Maintains strong industry connections to keep abreast of market changes, and informs the Programme team of marketplace developments
    • Maintains personal connections to inform Programme leadership of industry developments.
    • Works effectively with others who have difference perspectives, backgrounds and/or styles.
    • Behaves with sensitivity toward differences in culture norms, expectations and ways of communicating.
    • Takes responsibility for technical team's deliverables.
    • Follows through on commitments
    • Takes responsibility for own actions and those of the team under direction.

    Here's What You'll Need:

    • Multi-Disciplinary Design Management, experience within the hospitality domain is preferable
    • Coordination of resources from external consultants and various locations
    • Deep understanding of relevant standards and hospitality sector requirements
    • Clear, concise, and professional in communication, both verbal and written, with ability to brief senior leadership
    • Is clear and thorough in reports, documentation, and other written information.
    • Encourages others to address challenges in new and better ways.
    • Builds energy and optimism in others for the organisations vision.
    • Confronts actions which are consistent with the organisation's core values.
    • Shows persistence in the face of adversity or obstacles, encouraging others to do the same.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in design management on large capital projects / programmes and post-contract delivery on large capital projects
    • Four-year degree is required.
