    About Us: Persistence Recruitment in conjunction with Jawraa, a prominent Saudi Digital Transformation company, are collaborating on behalf of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund's Sovereign Fund Culture and Tourism Destination Giga-Project based in Riyadh.

    Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Database Administrator Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing databases across various lifecycle stages, from development to mission-critical production systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a high-profile Giga-Project.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Ownership and Leadership:

    • Take ownership and lead projects related to database operations and support.
    • Contribute to the overall success of the database operations team.

    Database Management:

    • Manage databases through multiple lifecycle environments, ensuring seamless transitions from development to production.
    • Demonstrate excellent hands-on skills in MS SQL Server 2017/2019, Failover/Availability Group Always On clusters, and TDE Encrypt.
    • Execute database upgrades, patching, and server migrations.

    Performance and Monitoring:

    • Provide expert support in database administration, performance tuning, and monitoring.
    • Moderate experience with Transactional Replication and Log Shipping is essential.
    • Utilize native monitoring and troubleshooting tools for Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).

    Cloud Database Expertise:

    • Demonstrate excellent hands-on skills with Cloud databases, including Azure and AWS.

    Technical Proficiency:

    • Exhibit proficiency in Windows servers, including Active Directory.
    • Basic knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages is a must.

    Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

    • Experience with MongoDB and Oracle Databases.
    • Knowledge of Database Mirroring, Always On, and Windows Clustering is a plus.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL databases and Cloud databases.
    • Strong experience with database support, administration, and performance tuning.
    • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
    • Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and written proficiency
