Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.

The smelter is situated in the Jizan Economic City and is designed to smelt ilmenite (Titanium rich mineral sand) to produce Titania Dioxide slag and pig iron. The plant consists of two Electric Arc furnaces, each with a capacity of 250kt slag and 125kt pig iron. The slag that is produced is tapped from the furnace and processed to be used as feed stock for the titanium chlorination and sulphuric acid processes to finally produce Titanium pigment which is mainly used in paints and plastics.

An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Technician IV, E&I Based in Jizan.

About the role:

To troubleshoot and maintenance the reliability of the electrical driven components of furnaces, related plants, and ancillary equipment such as the iron injection, casting, slag milling, and classification remain operational as per the design capacity of 96% on a monthly average.

To maintain all process Instrumentation, DCS System and PLC systems.

You will be responsible to:

• Perform routine/ basic inspection and maintenance of equipment in line with defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and instructions from superior to support integrity and reliability.
• Perform Preventive and corrective repairs on assigned equipment - in various disciplines.
• Provide prompt response to equipment service requests within the guidelines and standards of maintenance to ensure timely and effective uptime.
• perform electrical equipment inspections, renovations, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• perform Instrumentation inspections, calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Report any deficiencies on simple equipment through proper communication channels and reporting.
• Support the operating unit during minor and major turn-around shutdown and start-up activities to support timely completion of tasks.

Minimum Qualification:

Diploma of Electrical/Instrumentation Technology.

Minimum Experience:

5 years of experience or more in heavy industries.

Required Skills:

• Repairing a variety of Electrical equipment/knowledge of repairing different Instruments.
• Knowledge of HV/MV/LV panel repair and maintenance/knowledge of instrumentation and analyser calibration.
• Solid understanding of equipment troubleshooting system failures and rectification.
• Full Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment and Instruments.
• Work independently and is reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Safety Awareness and responsible work attitude.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work at heights and cramped spaces.
• Knowledge of automation and PLC system is added advantage.
• Ability to read wiring diagram and P&ID.
• Knowledge of field instruments.
• Full Knowledge of HV, MV LV substation panel maintenance and operation.
