    • Create safety awareness by communicating the company's policies and safety protocols.
    • Promote safe behavior by coaching.

    • Promote initiative and pro-activity among team members to avoid injuries.
    • Conduct safety inspections & observations of sites, yards, and labor camps.
    • Write Risk Assessments.
    • Conduct Asset verification audits on sites
    • Conduct service quality observations on sites
    • Supporting operational management in achieving compliance with client QHSE management systems, legislative requirements, and standards including adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
    • Promoting a positive health and safety culture within the organization.
    • Assisting in the audit and review of health and safety management systems.
    • Liaising with external regulatory and client organizations and their representatives to ensure that their quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements are compatible and that they are communicated.
    • Promptly responding to all reports of unsafe conditions, unsafe activities, and incidents, near misses, which are received, from Action workers and subcontractors. Taking prompt corrective action and advising senior management accordingly about unsafe/unhealthy procedures, methods, facilities, equipment, and substances.
    • Ø Providing training and on-site specific coaching for staff about Health and Safety policies, practices, and procedures
    • Promoting and coordinating the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, products, services, and operations.
    • Conducting documented Inspections, recommending corrective actions on the prevention and elimination of hazards in the workplace, and following up on the closure of action items.
    • Stopping the job when risks are high and the job is outside the desired scope of work, and coaching the workforce in their right and responsibility in the STOP authority.
    • Preparing Project, Job Safety & Environmental Analysis, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
    • Ensure all workers are following the site MSRA
    • Carry out and document random vehicle inspections and report to the BSU manager the findings.
    • Ensure the minimum 5-point PPE is worn on site and other task-specific PPE is available and worn.
    • Attending clients / main contractors and Action safety meetings per the given schedule and reporting to the management if required.
    • Be able to enforce safety procedures and safe working practices
    • Ensure adherence to Client's/Project established safety rules, standards, and codes of practice & provide professional direction, guidance, and support to the site-based Safety Officers/workers as required.
    • Actively supporting the development and realization of a positive, value-cantered culture, shared by all company personnel / sub-contractors and focused on excellence.
    • Coordinate and monitor all project HSE activities to ensure that agreed HSE standards are fully implemented and properly followed.
    • Interface with other contractor's HSE Personnel / Clients to provide supervision, coordination, technical assistance, and problem-solving advice in the course of duties.
    • Identifying applicable local regulations and their provisions as they relate to the project scope, initiating implementation & monitoring compliance. And Correct unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and particular deficiencies.
    • Complete all HSE reports both Action and client accurately and promptly.
    • Ø Ensure that monthly inspections on fire extinguishers and first aid kits are carried out and documented.
    • Flexible in your working schedule and for possible temporary re-locations to other areas within the Organization.
    • Conduct Service Quality inspections and observations and report to the QHSE manager and the SBU managers the findings
    • Conduct Asset verification audits highlighting the corrective actions and reporting to the site team, SBU managers, QHSE manager & Action's internal auditor.
    • To promote a positive service quality attitude to the site teams.
    • Using ACTION best practices, highlight any non-conformities, especially during the installation phase

    Requirements

    EDUCATION

    a) Minimum High school with a Diploma.

    b) Certification in Health & safety from a reputable institution (NEBOSH IGC or equivalent)

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    a) Knowledge of QHSE local official regulations.

    b) Must be tactful and diplomatic.

    c) Able to work independently and as a part of a team.

    d) Able to and work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under pressure.

    e) Effective communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations and communicate issues clearly to the different stakeholders.

    f) High level of self-motivation and organization skills.

    g) Hold a current driving license

    h) First Aid trained

    EXPERIENCE

    a) Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in a safety officer role
