- Creating forward-looking financial statements for future investments and portfolio adjustments, using established processes and technology to protect debt capacity and agency rating.
- Managing and reviewing joint venture partnership agreements, ensuring they align with control strategy and governance, and reducing P&L risks by addressing embedded derivatives.
- The person in this role will work closely with the negotiation team and legal department to protect assets and interests while meeting the company's strategic objectives
- This role involves expertise in M&A, divestitures, and integration accounting, including analyzing JV contracts, assessing accounting implications, and financial modeling for various businesses.
- It also entails coordinating accounting integration for M&A transactions, preparing carve-out financial statements for divestitures, and liaising with auditors on technical accounting matters.
- The (Sr.) Specialist is responsible for providing expert technical accounting advice, implementing changes, and advising on regulatory implications.
- They lead technical accounting preparation, advise commercial teams, and align accounting policies with industry standards.
- Additionally, they ensure compliance with IFRS requirements, assess and implement new reporting standards, and improve policy documentation for better financial reporting quality.
- Big 4 experience as technical accounting and (financial) auditor
- Desirable completion of Master degree in accounting/auditing
- Professional qualification of CPA, CA, or ACCA
- Demonstratable IFRS expertise, certainly on technical standards (IFRS 9, IFRS, 10, IFRS 11, IAS 28, IAS 19, IAS 36, IFRS 16, IFRS 15)
- Expert knowledge on Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures & Integration (MADI)
- Business acumen, strong analytical skill, knowledge of chemical industry is a plus
- Expertise knowledge of standard accounting practices, solid knowledge in IFRS
- Proficient in corporate governance and internal control framework
- Financial modeling and proform pro forma balance sheet
- Good sense of corporate risk management
- Advanced organizational skills and task management
- Minimum Experience:
- Post CPA qualification experience
- Technical training in Big 4 audit firms. Must have worked in audit, financial statements preparation/review, technical accounting advisory
