    Position Summary

    The Lead Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing the strategic use of data within an organization. Your role involves crafting and implementing data strategies, executing complex analysis using SQL and ETL processes, and translating findings into actionable insights that align with business objectives. You will play a crucial role in shaping data infrastructure, ensuring quality and governance, and providing strategic guidance for leveraging data effectively. Through effective communication and collaboration, the lead data analyst contributes significantly to the organization's data-driven decision-making process.

    • Raqtan ) - the original brand, more than 40 years in the market, mostly serving enterprise customers (chain accounts) through dedicated sales teams in Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dubai.
    • Ekuep ) - ecommerce marketplace for commercial kitchen equipment, targeting primarily SMEs, providing the best prices, unmatched selection, and the convenience of buying online.
    • Qavashop ) - ecommerce marketplace for high-end domestic coffee equipment and specialty coffee beans. A hub for coffee lovers.
    • Miran ) - stainless steel factory, supporting our commercial kitchen projects, but also engineering new lines of products for the oil and gas industry.
    • Brodan ) - our cooling and refrigeration brand, developing and manufacturing a full line of refrigeration products - from small refrigerated display cases to large, industrial cold rooms.
    • Spherey ) - a mobile platform revolutionizing the way technical service is provided in the F&B industry, creating a marketplace for independent and freelance technicians.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement data strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analyses using SQL, ETL processes, and statistical methods to derive actionable insights.
    • Data Infrastructure: Shape and maintain the organization's data infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and adherence to best practices.
    • Business Alignment: Translate business requirements into data solutions, ensuring that analyses address key business challenges.
    • Data Governance: Enforce data governance standards, including data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Project Management: Oversee data analysis projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, implementing best practices for continuous improvement.
    • Problem Solving: Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges and optimize data processes.
    • Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic guidance on data-driven decision-making, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

    Required Skills

    • Mastery of SQL for querying, extracting, and manipulating data from relational databases.
    • Ability to optimize queries for performance and efficiency.
    • Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
    • Ability to perform statistical analysis and create visualizations to communicate findings.
    • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
    • Skill in designing and implementing data models that align with business requirements.
    • Knowledge of dimensional modeling for data warehouses.
    • Experience in managing and maintaining databases.
    • Strong business acumen to understand the context and purpose of data analysis.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
    • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

    Desirable skills

    • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python or R.
    • Experience in scripting for automation of data processes.
