Our Client is seeking aproficient Assembly Superintendent to oversee and manage assemblyoperations within the organization. The ideal candidate willpossess a blend of technical expertise leadership skills andindustry experience to ensure the smooth execution of assemblyprocesses in adherence to top classification societystandards.

Responsibilities

• Directand supervise assembly activities to ensure timely completion ofprojects while maintaining qualitystandards.
• Act as a mentor to traineesproviding guidance and support in their development as subjectmatter experts. Document trainee progress and provide constructivefeedback to facilitate their growth.
• Utilizeyour certification as an assessor or readiness to obtain one toassess and certify assembly processes and personnel as perorganizational and regulatoryrequirements.
• Leverage your experience workingat prominent shipbuilding organizations to introduce and implementbest practices fostering a culture of excellence and continuousimprovement.
• Ensure that assembly activitiescomply with top classification society standards and requirementssuch as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINA and other relevantregulations.
• Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams including engineering procurement quality assurance andproject management to ensure seamless coordination and execution ofassembly activities.
• Effectively allocateresources including manpower materials and equipment to optimizeassembly processes and meet projecttimelines.
• Champion a safetyfirst culture byimplementing and enforcing safety protocols and risk mitigationmeasures across assemblyoperations.

Qualifications

• Bachelorsdegree in Engineering or a related field preferred with additionalcertifications or training in shipbuilding or related disciplinesbeing advantageous.
• Proficient Englishcommunication skills with a minimum IELTS band score of 7 orequivalent essential for mentoring trainees and documenting theirprogress.
• Documented history of being acertified assessor or eligibility to become one demonstrating theability to assess and certify assembly processes andpersonnel.
• Proven track record of working atprominent shipbuilding organizationsbringing along best practices and behaviors to enhance assemblyoperations.
• Demonstrated experience working onprojects adhering to top classification societystandards/requirements such as IACS ABS BV DNV LR RINAetc.
• Strong leadership abilities with thecapacity to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving commongoals.
• Excellent problemsolving skills with theability to identify issues analyze root causes and implementeffective solutions.
