- Supervise the contractors' critical operations to ensure safety across trains, stations, and infrastructure for passengers, the public and staff
- Development and execution of knowledge transfer for all railway safety management related disciplines
- Leading the Safety Team, incl. the Safety Department Coordinator
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure the rail system operates in a safe environment for employees and passengers
- Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and protocols
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
- Collaborate with department heads to address safety concerns and implement improvements
- Monitor safety performance metrics and analyze data for trends and areas of improvement.
- Prepare safety reports for regulatory agencies and stakeholders
- Stay updated with safety regulations and technologies to enhance safety measures
- Develop detailed contingency plan that will provide operational continuity, including identify any gaps or improvements that may need to be implemented Qualifications:
- Project management skills
- Railway safety and O&M background
- Development and/or implementation of SMS in the railway or similar industries
- Relevant certifications e.g. in Quality Assurance
- Min. academic degree: B.Sc. Engineering
- Min. 10 years in Rail Industry
- Min. 10 years in leadership position
- Min. 5 years in a similar position
- International experience, preference GCC
- English (fluent), Arabic (preferred), German (preferred)
- MS office, MS Project, MS Sharepoint
