    Job Summary:

    The Soft Services (Housekeeping) Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing housekeeping operations within a facility or organization. This role involves leading a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and a pleasant environment for employees and visitors. The Soft Services Lead will coordinate housekeeping activities, develop cleaning schedules, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service quality.

    Responsibilities:

    Housekeeping Operations Management:

    • Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
    • Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, sanitizing, waste management, and pest control.
    • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained to the required standards.
    • Monitor and evaluate housekeeping procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards, including compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of cleaning and housekeeping services.
    • Address any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.

    Staff Training and Development:

    • Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the housekeeping team.
    • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a customer-centric approach.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the housekeeping staff.

    Customer Service and Relationship Management:

    • Interact with internal stakeholders, such as employees and management, to understand their housekeeping needs and address any concerns.
    • Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with housekeeping services.
    • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and effectively, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues.

    Budgeting and Resource Management:

    • Assist in developing and managing the housekeeping budget, including cost estimation, forecasting, and expenditure control.
    • Monitor and control costs related to cleaning supplies, equipment, and staffing.
    • Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, inspections, and maintenance activities.
    • Generate regular reports on housekeeping performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance housekeeping operations.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in housekeeping or related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping or soft services industry.
    • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices.
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping services.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using housekeeping software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
