    Zentech Consulting is hiring aFull Time Direct Hire Circulating OR RN in Jacksonville, FL.
    TheOperating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsiblefor providing patient care based upon the nursing process; beingeffectively involved with maintaining the standard of care forassigned patients throughout the perioperative process throughassessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RegisteredNurse shall oversee and guide employees that are under his/hersupervision and collaborate with surgical team to strategize,implement and evaluate care plans for each patient. The RegisteredNurse is under the direction of the Director of Nursing or the ASCAdministrator.

    JOBDESCRIPTION

    • Performinitial pre-op assessment and formulates appropriate plan of carefor a positive patientoutcome
    • Providecompetent care in circulating cases and efficiently providingequipment/supplies based on patientneed
    • Effectivelymaintains sterile field by practicing aseptictechniques
    • Accuratelydocuments patient healthrecords
    • Provideshigh quality care while using resourcesefficiently
    • Communicateappropriate data to the physician and other patient care teammembers
    • Interpretand implement physician s orders; perform treatments according toaccepted standards and policies; evaluate and documenteffectiveness oftreatments
    • Anticipatepotential patient problems and take the necessary precautions tominimize those problems to ensure patient safety in OR andASC
    • Identifyand report unsafe practice and/or procedures to promotecompliance
    • Demonstrateknowledge and skill requirements regarding his/her role in theSafety Management Program (Safety/Security), Infection Control,Hazardous Materials, Emergency Preparedness, Life Safety, MedicalEquipment and Utility Systems, and his/her expected level ofparticipation. Submit documentation of annualupdates.
    • Interactprofessionally and courteously with physicians, patients, patient sfamilies, visitors, members of the public andco-workers.
    • Attendand participate in staff meetings, read and return all monthlystaff meeting minutes in a timelymanner
    • Encourageand promote cross training activities for professional growth andto contribute to the overall function of theCenter
    • Ensurethat supplies and equipment are available for patientcare
    • Maintainand submit documentation of required current licensure and/orcertification
    • Attendstaff meetings, read and return all monthly meeting minutes.Attendance record not to fall below 8 out of the 12 annual staffmeetings
    • Responsiblefor knowing current policies and procedures, protocol and practicesof theCenter
    • Functionwithin scope of practice based on licensure, education, skills andexperience; Recognize limitations and asks for guidance whennecessary
    • CNORpreferred but notrequired.

    HOURSAND WORKINGCONDITIONS
    • Mondaythru Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Work hours may be subjectto change, depending on surgeryschedule.
    • Hazards:Occasional contact with communicable diseases, electricalequipment, blood borne pathogens,etc.
    • Personalprotective equipment: Provided if necessary (gowns, gloves, masks,head cover)

    Requirements

    JOBREQUIREMENTS
    • Currentlyactive State Registered NursingLicense
    • CurrentBCLS and ACLScertification
    • IVSedation course completion and certification upon hirepreferred
    • Mustbe able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary toprovide care appropriate to the age of patients served in theCenter.
    • Effectivecommunicator-- appreciates and respects others needs, opinions, andconcerns.

    KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS ANDABILITIES
    • Demonstratescurrent, comprehensive, professional knowledge and skills inconformance with recognized nursing standards and departmentpolicies including the Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHCregulations, Standards for Nursing Care and the Nurse PracticeAct
    • Knowledgeof government regulations, HIPAA, documentation standards, andother compliance standards and ability to work in fullcompliance
    • Abilityto read and communicate effectively in English. Additionallanguagespreferred.
    • Abilityto communicate in a professional manner-- able to counsel/teachcustomers, train co-workers, and positively contribute tomarketing/public relations. Ability to respond to common inquiriesor complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of themedical and businesscommunity.
    • Proficientcomputer skills- ability to accurately update and manage andelectronic health carerecord


    JOB REQUIREMENTS Currently active State Registered Nursing LicenseCurrent BCLS and ACLS certification IV Sedation course completionand certification upon hire preferred Must be able to demonstratethe knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate tothe age of patients served in the Center. Effective communicator--appreciates and respects others needs, opinions, and concerns.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Demonstrates current,comprehensive, professional knowledge and skills in conformancewith recognized nursing standards and department policies includingthe Patient Bill of Rights and AAAHC regulations, Standards forNursing Care and the Nurse Practice Act Knowledge of governmentregulations, HIPAA, documentation standards, and other compliancestandards and ability to work in full compliance Ability to readand communicate effectively in English. Additional languagespreferred. Ability to communicate in a professional manner-- ableto counsel/teach customers, train co-workers, and positivelycontribute to marketing/public relations. Ability to respond tocommon inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies,or members of the medical and business community. Proficientcomputer skills- ability to accurately update and manage andelectronic health care record
