    Job Description

    Manages all the process and activities related to PL product development process, coordinates different functions in company, develops relationship with existing suppliers, sources and contracts new suppliers ensuring that PL products reach targeted profitability, quality and sales, revises current assortment and sets improvement measures. Within related categories assures that all activities are in line with PL Strategy. Delivers min 6 new projects per year.

    Accountabilities

    Planning and leading New product Project Management process

    • By providing detailed category assessments and segmentation creates and proposes New Product annual launch plan (NPD) for Private Label (PL) and Imported brands (Imp brands) to Top Management
    • By collaborating with the internal and external stakeholders, manages and executes new PL and Imp brands projects and processes within categories that he is responsible for
    • Ensures that all the PL and IMP brands are in line with PL/Imp brands Strategy
    • Ensures coordination and collaboration with the category managers to ensure the achievement of PL and Imp brands sales, margin and inventory targets.
    • Project management - ensures that PL/Imp brands NPD projects meet defined timelines and all the activities are executed
    • Conducts cost benefit analysis pre and after product launch, identifies the risks, defines market positioning, sets quality standards for the product

    Sourcing and negotiation of buying terms

    • Through negotiations with various suppliers responsible for reaching best buying terms for both overseas and local suppliers ( targeted cost prices, margins, payment terms, quality level and inventory)
    • Based on defined criteria, proposes new vendor selection and commercial terms to management
    • Responsible for new PL/Imp brands vendors sourcing process (visiting specialized global fairs, travels to audit vendor facilities, on line sourcing...,)
    • Responsible for overall PL/Imp brands vendor relationship in front of Nahdi Company (main contact point)
    • Responsible for contract management with all of our PL/Imp brands vendors
    • Ensures effect inventory control by working closely with Merchandise Planning, Category Management and Overseas buying planner (inventory level, lead times, and other logistic requests).

    Packaging development coordination – Design and

    regulatory compliance

    • Briefs PL Marketing team in reference to new product packaging design by providing all the required information
    • In collaboration with other stakeholders responsible for the sign off color proofs
    • In collaboration with SFDA and QA Manager, follows up with SFDA and another local legal regulation and ensures that PL/IMP brands products are aligned and have full legal compliance
    • Follows global PL and retail market trends, product innovation and packaging trends, - sets benchmarks and uses global or local best practice as reference
    • Works closely with QA manager in ensuring that PL products have quality level in line with PL Strategy and that delivered products meet agreed product specification
    • With other internal stakeholders initiates kick off meetings for pre-lunch activities

    Reporting to internal stakeholders

    • Reporting to all internal stakeholders on status of new launches
    • Reports on PL/IMP brands achievements through internal presentations (Commercial meetings, SOP meetings, meeting with other stakeholders )
    • Reports directly to PL Senior Manager

    Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned Accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.

    Education

    • BSc Degree

    Experience

    • Min 3 Years of Experience in Retail – preferred PL or CM background
    • Experience of doing business with international suppliers
    • FMCG product development experience

    Computer Skills

    • MS Office Suite
