    Job Summary

    The Project Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for leading and managing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring design precision, adherence to standards, and on-time project completion. Coordinates project teams, oversees mechanical installations, and implements strategies to optimize efficiency and performance in the mechanical engineering domain.

    Job Responsibilities 1

    Ensures the project discipline works are executed in accordance with the relevant contract documents inclusive of discipline drawings, specifications, BOQ, main contractor program and any superseding documents all in coordination with the other disciplines.

    Ensures that the Mechanical works are executed efficiently within the approved cost and time constraint and quality.

    Ensures the Mechanical works are executed in compliance with statutory authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. DEWA, DM, CD, Health and Safety and all particular standards applicable to the project.

    Ensures adherence to the relevant company policies and procedures.

    Ensures the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager at all times.

    Guide the project discipline engineers through the discipline project management process throughout the duration of the project. Assign specific targets to the various discipline engineers.

    Verify mechanical material procurement, submittal schedules, mechanical shop drawings schedules.

    Job Responsibilities 2

    Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.

    Approve mechanical design calculations.

    Prepare monthly invoice application with QS.

    Review and sign-off mechanical material technical submittals and material requisitions before issuances.

    Prepare schedule of method statements in compliance with specifications and budget.

    Liaise with technical department for the relevant authorities approval.

    Full understanding of cost planning and commercial management, value engineering, commercial management and contract administration, estimation etc.

    Ensures to execute and maintain or participate in all measures for all works associated with the project site works.

    Ensures to support as requested the development, strategy, quantification, reconciliation for all project related claims whether to the client or from subcontractor as required.

    Job Knowledge & Skills

    Excellent knowledge of material engineering properties and local/global availability of materials

    Excellent technical skills and ability to organize and oversee preparation of technical drawings

    Proficient in computer applications and Systems

    Job Experience

    Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
