    Position Description

    We are seeking a Planning & Performance Analyst to join the central Planning & Performance Management Division of Pipelines, Distribution & Terminals (Downstream), a significant business unit in Saudi Aramco, responsible for the transportation and storage of the company's hydrocarbons in the Kingdom.

    The PD&T Planning & Performance Management Division is responsible for providing planning and performance management (P&PM) analytical activities for the PD&T business unit. This includes the successful preparation of mid and short-term business plans for the PD&T business unit, collating financial and other information from the operating departments and providing insightful analysis, supporting regular business reviews and initiatives to enhance commercial value and financial discipline.

    The Planning & Performance Analyst primary role is responsible, under the general direction of the head of the P&PM organization, for generating analytical findings and recommendations across the scope of objectives and deliverables of the PD&T business unit, either independently or in collaboration with others. The P&PM Analyst is expected to proactively identify problems and issues that arise in his/her assigned areas, and recommend solutions for these, in addition to mentoring other P&PM personnel. The analyst is expected to operate independently and be a self-starter, albeit overall guidance and direction will be provided by higher-level P&PM staff and supervisors of his/her organization.

    Responsibilities

    You will be required to perform the following:
    • Provide analytical findings & recommendations relating to regular P&PM tasks such as business plan preparation, performance tracking and measurement, and performance analysis and accountability reporting.
    • Conduct special P&PM-related studies such as the development of performance initiatives and business cases, benchmarking, risk management, design and re-design of measurements, processes and workflows, and information system-related changes.
    • Provide supervision, coordination and/or facilitation in the execution of regular and special tasks by other P&PM personnel, as well as mentorship on P&PM analytical practice.
    • Perform other related staff and analytical duties, as assigned.
    Education & Experience Requirements

    As the successful candidate you will hold:
    • Education Levels: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business related discipline.
    • Possession of an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, CPA) is preferred.
    • Seven (7) years related experience is required.
    • Demonstrated capability and track record in the practice of planning & performance management, management accounting and in the use of business intelligence tools.
    • Strong Excel skills are required.
    • Excellent command of oral & written English.
    • Good communication and inter-personal skills
