Description

Due to the expansion of the Yanbu Industrial City Saudi Arabian Parsons and its Client and Alliance Partner, the Saudi Royal Commission has identified the need to bring an Air Quality Specialist / Modeller to the Team. This is a brand-new position and will become an integral part of our Environmental Protection and Control Department at Yanbu.

Utilizing modern AERMOD and CALPUFF Modelling Software the key objective of this position is studying the impact and effect of the Air Quality not only in the immediate Industrial Cluster at Yanbu but also the surrounding communities and environment.

As well as establishing and monitoring a full inventory of all emissions within the City, there is the ongoing requirement (including the continuous development, upgrade and modernization) to conduct a complete Air Dispersion Model for the entire City and surrounding area.

Experience and Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related subject from a RECOGNIZED WESTERN UNIVERSITY.

·A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the field of Air Pollution and Environmental Monitoring.

·Knowledge of US-EPA, EU, UK, KSA regulations and standards for safety and environment.

·Knowledge of ambient air monitoring and management practices would be a distinct advantage.

·Understanding of industrial operations preferably in refineries, petrochemical and chemical facilities.

·Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

·Intermediate computer skills are essential with experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Key Technical skills

·Communication and interpersonal skills.

·Adept at using CALPUFF / AERMOD modelling software.

·Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using Microsoft Office tools and / or any relevant software.
