    Thehospital provides 24-hour emergency and trauma care to more than40,000 patients a year.

    Thefollowing unitsoffer:

    • Flexible,self-scheduling option, 12 hrshifts
    • FullTime only, 36hrs/week
    • Willhire ADN nurses open to obtaining BSN within 3 year timeframe, BSNpreferred
    • BLSrequired, other certifications are aplus.
    • Structuredorientationprovided
    • Strongemphasis on team work, communication and positive workculture.

    Day(7am - 7pm) and Night (7pm - 7am) ShiftsAvailable

    Shift:Three, 12-hourshifts

    MinimumQualifications

    Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelorsof Nursingpreferred

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • CurrentState of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practiceprofessionalnursing
    • Certifiedin Basic LifeSupport
    • Additionalcertifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursingunitrequirements

    Experience/ Knowledge /Skills:

    • RNI <1year
    • RNII = 1-3years
    • RNIII = 3-10years
    • RNIV = 10+years
    • Effectiveoral and written communicationskills

    PrincipalAccountabilities

    • Deliverssafe and appropriate care to patients, according to the nursingskills inventory and the age and needs of the patient/populationserved.
    • Coordinatesthe planning for the delivery of nursing care with aninterdisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinicaldecisions in the delivery of patientcare.
    • Collaborateswith, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team in theattainment of positive outcomes based on data, research, evidence,and professional standards ofcare.
    • Coordinatestreatment plans; develops/implements discharge and/or transferplans.
    • Participatesin a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation ofprograms, process improvement and desired client-centeredoutcomes.
    • Considersthe diverse needs of each patient through the entire continuum ofcare, providing and ensuring the highest level of service accordingto established service standards, optimizing the patientexperience.
    • Adheresto all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursingstandards.
    • Performsother duties as assigned, within scope of practice and clinicalcompetency.
    • Ensuressafe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Medicalcenter policies, procedures, and standards within budgetaryspecifications including time management, supply management,productivity and quality ofservice.
    • Promotesindividual professional growth and development by meetingrequirements for mandatory/continuing education and skillscompetency; supports department-based goals which contribute to thesuccess of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor andresource to less experiencedstaff.
