Purpose:

To provide a professional and effective electrical service to the engineering department.

Responsibilities / Duties:

• Carry out and ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed on all relevant equipment daily, weekly, monthly and as planned.
• Maintenance of electrical installations and associated equipment.
• Installation of electrical systems and associated equipment.
• Respond to all reactive maintenance within the specified service level agreements.
• Assist in the preparation of estimates / quotations as required.
• Responsibility for allocated work orders from receipt to completion.
• Provide progress reports on allocated work orders.
• Immediately notify the supervisor of any safety issues or concerns.
• Maintain a safe place of work.
• Adhere to all regulations in respect of electricity at work.
• Adhere to the electrical department quality management system.
• Strong teamwork ethic and promotion of customer service excellence.
• Record keeping and produce detailed work reports, as required.
• Flexible availability for 24/7 standby duties and emergency call outs.
• Respond to electrical emergencies within the agreed time-frames.
• Carry out, to the best of your ability, all tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Education / Qualifications:

• Minimum technical certificate or diploma in electrical or relevant qualification.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience with relevant history of electrical installation, maintenance and repair in large, commercial premises.

Job Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience of safe working practices, risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work systems.
• Experience of installation, testing and maintenance of HV and LV distribution systems.
